Applying for jobs with MPI

What does the recruitment process involve?

MPI has a thorough process to fit the best possible candidate into a role. It involves:

  • The collection and shortlisting of applications

  • Telephone interview and reference checks

  • Face to face interviews, psychometric and ability assessment, pre-employment medicals and site visits may also be required.

What is the preferred application method?

We prefer you to apply for jobs via this website by registering as a candidate and attaching an electronic resume to your profile. You can then search and apply for any job/s that you feel suit you.

How do I become registered on your database?

By setting up your candidate profile and applying for any roles that you feel suit you. We prefer you to do this via this website and attach your resume. If you don’t have access to a computer then facsimile or post is fine. You will know your application has been received when you’re sent an automated email acknowledgement: your resume is stored on our database.

Your application is now looked at by the appropriate consultant and reviewed against the role you have applied for and any other suitable positions. The database is also regularly searched as new positions become available. If you are suitable for any of our positions, we will call you prior to putting your name forward to our client. We will then be in contact with you during the length of the consideration process.

If you are not contacted by phone about your application then you have been unsuccessful on that occasion and we will advise you, by way of an email or letter, within two weeks of your application. We will also let you know if we feel that we are unable to help you because you don’t meet our minimum requirements. We do this every time. If you DON’T hear from us within this time frame, then this is a breach of the "MPI Promise" in which case we would encourage you to contact us.

What are the minimum requirements to become registered on your database?

Our minimum requirements are usually:

  • To have the skills and experience requested in any advertisement on our website or,

  • To gain more information about your background in relation to the role.

If you are not contacted by phone then you have been unsuccessful on that occasion and we will advise you, by way of a letter, either by post or email within two weeks of your application. We do this every time. If you DON’T hear from us within this time frame, then this is a breach of the “MPI Promise” in which case we would encourage you to contact us.

What happens to my details if I am not successful?

If your application is not successful, we will review your resume to ascertain if we can find you work in the future. If we can, we will retain your details on our database and consider you for future opportunities.

After we have resolved that you were not successful on a particular occasion we would always advise you of this. This should happen within two weeks of your application and we would encourage you to contact us and let us know if that does not occur. You can also apply at any time for other positions. Remember to contact us with any change of contact or employment details.

If we feel that we are unlikely to be able to help you in the future, then we will also advise you of this by mail or email within two weeks.
