- 8/6 roster
- Career optionality to GM for the second operation
Our client, a privately owned and operated mining company is developing a number of mines in the goldfields that will underpin 8 years of gold production. Operations will shortly commence developing their first open-pit mine, producing ore for a third-party processing facility. Subsequent to the completion of the initial mine, a second standalone mining and processing facility will be developed near Leonora, with operations scheduled in Q3/4 of 2021.
On their behalf, we now seek to appoint a suitably experienced and capable Mining Manager to oversee all mining activity, including a small mine technical team and the mining contractor.
Initially reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for the safe and effective operation of the mine, and for producing a quality ore grade material for dispatch to a third-party processing facility for the initial project, and for the companies own processing facilities at the subsequent project.
We require a degree qualified Mining Engineer with either a WA First Class Managers Certificate or an Unrestricted Quarry Managers Certificate, together with a can-do and creative attitude to your work. You will possess demonstrable leadership capability to support leading-edge performance from your team in achieving budgeted safety, construction, production, and cost outcomes.
This is a pivotal role in the operations and provides genuine prospects for promotion to the site General Manager for the second stand-alone operation due to commence in October 2022. An attractive salary package including short-term incentives will be negotiated.
