Underground Mine Production Engineer

Our client, an established international gold mining company, is seeking to appoint an Underground Mining Engineer at one of their cornerstone operations in the NE Goldfields.

The mine is a large scale, highly mechanised operation and requires significant input from both a technical planning/scheduling perspective, as well as day to day operational management.

Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will be responsible for much of the day to day operational engineering for the mine, including; Drill & Blast, short term planning & scheduling, and for working with the key leadership group to identify & mitigate any problems that might impact on the mine achieving its budgeted/forecast activities.

Possessing an ability to drive some form of mine planning software, you will have a minimum of 2 years U/G experience, and be able to assist in the development/mentoring of graduate level mining engineers.

An attractive day rate will be negotiated to secure your services.

The role is available immediately, subject to the normal pre-employment medicals and NPC clearance.

Unfortunately, Mining People International are only able to consider people with relevant experience, and who are either Australian Permanent Residents or have the necessary permits to work in Australia and whom are currently in Western Australia.
