Senior Exploration Geologist

MPI have partnered with a dynamic and rapidly growing junior mining company focused on exploration and development projects across several Australian tenements. Committed to responsible and sustainable mining practices, they are driven by innovation and a passion for discovering and developing valuable mineral resources.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Exploration Geologist to join this team. As a key member of this exploration division, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in advancing their exploration projects and contributing to the growth of the company.

The Role:
  • Lead and manage exploration programs, ensuring they are executed efficiently, within budget, and in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Conduct geological mapping, rock sampling, and data analysis to identify potential mineral deposits.
  • Design and implement drilling programs, interpret drilling results, and provide geological models to guide resource estimation.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and geological developments to enhance exploration strategies.
The Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in mineral exploration, and a Bachelor's or higher degree in Geology or a related field.
  • Proven experience in working with Base Metals. Experience in Titanium exploration will be highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in geological modelling software Micromine and QGIS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
