Drill Fitter

MPI Recruitment are currently on the search for experienced Drill Fitters for a number of clients across WA.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the servicing, breakdowns and repairs on a fleet of drill rigs - most sites will have between 3 and 8 rigs on site at a time. You will make sure that any downtime on these machines is kept to a minimum, through the scheduled maintenance that is completed, and responding to any breakdowns in a timely manner.
We have both Exploration and Production drilling clients, so whatever your expertise is, we can secure you work!

Most roles are on an 2/2 roster, however there are options for 2/1 and 8/6 rosters as well for the right candidates. Payrates will vary depending on experience and site, with a range of up to $95/hr for the right candidates.

To be considered, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Trade qualified (heavy duty trade) - unfortunately we cannot consider applicants with an Automotive trade certificate only.
  • Prior experience working on drill rigs - Atlas Copco, Epiroc and Sandvik experience highly regarded
  • Have valid Australian work rights
  • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug Screen
  • Ability to produce a National Police Clearance
