Senior Technical Specialist - Ancillary Fleet

MPI Recruitment are currently working with one of our international clients, searching for a Senior Technical Specialist for their Ancillary Mobile Plant fleet on their mine in Papua New Guinea.

Reporting to the Maintenace Manager, you will have a team of Technical Specialists reporting to you, with a focus on not only suitably maintaining the ancillary fleet but mentoring and training the local workforce on all facets of the role and building the local skillset and knowledge base.

The ancillary fleet includes loaders, small excavators, IT's, graders, buses, light vehicles and auxiliary equipment including generators and lighting towers.

On offer is a highly attractive base salary, as well as both short and long term incentives that are highly achievable and currently being paid to existing personnel. These roles are offered on a 4 week on/4 week off roster, day shift only, FIFO ex-Brisbane. All roles offered are permanent in nature.

The site is a few years old; as such the gear is near new, and the camp is a neat and tidy with a gym and internet connectivity - the site is in the process of upgrading to the Starlink service meaning there will be no disruptions to the internet service while you are onsite.

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
  • Australian Trade Certificate - HD Fitter or comparable.
  • Experience at Supervisor, Foreperson, or Superintendent level.
  • Experience working as an expat previously - this is a must!
  • Demonstrated capability in training and mentoring a local workforce.
