Metallurgy Superintendent

Our client is a fully funded Australian gold mining company who is seeking Metallurgy Superintendent to join their on-site operational team located in the Goldfields Esperance region of Western Australia.
Reporting to the Processing Manager the position is primarily responsible for leading the metallurgy and laboratory teams, to ensure accurate information and operating parameters are provided to the operation.

Key duties of the position include:
  • Enhancing the metallurgical performance of the plant
  • Develop and maintain the management strategy for the plant’s operation.
  • Ensure optimal levels of plant equipment availability.
  • Maintain the formal management reporting systems for the metallurgy team.
To be successful you will require:
  • A tertiary qualification in processing, chemical engineering, or metallurgy
  • Substantial mining experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact at all levels of the operation
  • The ability to work as a part to a dynamic team and provide effective leadership and mentoring
The role operates on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth and offers excellent remuneration.
