Processing Manager

Our client, a TSX listed entity, has an operation based in Papa New Guinea.
The operation, a high grade, underground mine & processing facility is about to undergo significant expansion and upgrades of the processing plant.
On their behalf, we are seeking to appoint an experienced Processing Manager, offered on a FIFO basis with a 4/4 rotation. 


About the role: 
Reporting to the HOD Processing, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective, leadership of the processing plant, including the empowerment of the workforce to ensure budgeted outcomes are achieved. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Providing guidance and support to several direct reports in the processing team and relevant Superintendents.   
  • Responsibility across processing activities, plant availability and performance to achieve operational and cost targets. 
  • Overall accountability for managing and implementing new controls for safety, personnel, environmental, metallurgical and plant performance. 

About you: 

  • Previous experience in an expat capacity – PNG preferred.  
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering (mechanical/metallurgical/process) - highly desirable 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as Process Manager 
  • Demonstrated capability in a leadership role in a developing country.
