Plant Metallurgist

On behalf of our client, MPI are seeking an experienced Plant Metallurgist for their gold processing plant in the Eastern Goldfields.
The positions' purpose is to lead, develop and mentor the processing teams in the achievement of budgeted and environmental standards.

Responsibilities will include:

• Coordination of all metallurgical activities.
• Met accounting duties.
• Contributing to the ongoing effectiveness of the processing department through the consistent achievement of budgeted production performance, including tonnes treated, gold produced and plant recovery.
• Providing ongoing technical support to the broader processing department to ensure the achievement of department goals and objectives.

Essential criteria:

• Ideally at least 3 years' experience as a Metallurgist. 
• Gold experience preferred.
• Recognised tertiary degree in Metallurgy or relevant discipline.
• Knowledge of metallurgical test and survey procedures. 
• Management of on-site projects. 
• C-Class drivers' licence.
